At Road Messaging: The internal address for At Road has changed which caused failure of the DSM AT Road messaging. This has been fixed with the loading of this new application. However in some cases, this patch will not be enough. AT Road also now requires a special API userid and Password. Long time users of At Road may not have this userid and password. The old At Road server would work with your normal web login and passwords. This is not the case on the new server. If your messages still fail, you will see an error message from AT road which notifies you of the login failure. You will need to contact AT road to get this new userid and password. If you have the right password, the Userid will contain the letters API at the front (I was told). Disposal Report: Disposal Report By Jobsite did not group correctly for the type. Resolved.

Job Profit & Loss Report: The calculation of Truck Depreciation where the # of hours is multiplied with the hourly rate of the truck (as specfied in the truck definition) has been changed. Previously DSM only used the first timecard found to determine the hours on the job. Additional entries were assumed to be helpers and therefore that time was not included. Generally this works. However if you need to enter two timecards for the same operator to represent two worktypes (say wall sawing and slab sawing), the assumption and resulting depreciation is not longer correct. The logic has been changed such that all timecard entries will be summed for all primary operators. If the timecard is marked as a helper, then it will not be counted. This should give all companies the ability to represent the data correctly. Jobsite Profit & Loss Report: Same As Above. Operator Profit & Loss Report: Same As Above. Job Link Data Review & Import: If the associated job was linked to a jobsite that had a specific jobrate definitions, DSM produced an error. Resolved.

Internal Changes: Transparent changes were made to integrate a new PDF driver which works with Windows Vista. PDF's are created when emailing orders and quotes. Worker Assignment Screen: If an operator was made inactive or was assigned to a different company, the operator did not properly appear on the assignment screen when you revisited the screen. Since they were not in the list of available operators, that assignment went to the first person on the list. The behavior has been changed to always include the people assigned to the job in the list reguardless of whether or not they still belong in the list. Mapping: The link to MapQuest to obtain internet maps was changed and no longer works. Due to licensing restrictions we now only allow a shell out to the MapQuest web page. Peak strongly recommends that customers purchase Microsoft Mappoint 2006 which integrates seemlessly into DSM.

DSM now disallows changing of the price or quantity after a line item has been billed. If changes need to be made, the proper method is the change order. AIA Status Screen: An button named See Detail For Item, has been added which shows the invoice detail of an item in the schedule. If a line item is billed 100% (or any amount), it quickly answers the question of which invoices did the billing and their amounts.

Main Scheduling screen addition. An option has been added to the dispatch screen that allows you to check the "don't show completed jobs" option in the upper right hand corner. If checked, jobs that are the status "JT RECEIVED and beyond" are not shown.

Jobsite Table Maintenance: Changed so that the finder always comes up first rather than just going to the first site. Also the last site visited is now stored so if you come back to the table, it will default to the last site accessed. Retention Invoice: An option has been added to the view invoice detail screen to print a Retention version of the invoice is the remaining amount is marked as retention. This is not a new invoice rather a reprint with just the due amount and the description retention. The invoice number prints with an R to the left. Since DSM has already accumulated the dollar amount, you generally do not want to create a new invoice for the retention but some customers want another piece of paper when the retention actually becomes payable. Jobsite Numbering: A new configuration option has been added under System Configuration / Orders that allows you to Enable Automatic Jobsite Numbering.

Serivce Record Parts Adding: Button added such that there are two choices to add a part. Add a part using the default vendor from the last part added or add a part with no vendor selected. Dispatching Screen: If the job list was long and you were scrolled all the way to the bottom, sometimes when you clicked on the date spinner at the top of the screen, the list of jobs would refresh but the date would stay showing the old date. Code was implemented which seems to fix this problem.

New Blade Screen: Notes were not saving correctly on this screen. Resolved. Outstanding Invoice Snapshot Report: The Over 30, 60, 90 was actually off by a day in each column. It represented 31,61,90 days in the appropriate columns. The total was correct. This has been resolved.

Call Before Going Feature: A new checkbox has been added to the orders screen to call before going. If checked, the order shows up on the dispatch screen as green text with a red background until the job is either confirmed or the status moves to On Job or beyond (completed, billed). Diamond Blades Records From PO's: When creating Blade records automatically by receiving a PO, locks were being held open on the blades. This caused record in use errors until the user exited and reentered DSM. Resolved. Blade Entry Screen: If you entered a new diamond blade from the new blade screen, it generated an error if you typed the part number vs using the select button. Resolved.

Outstanding Invoice Snapshot Report: Additional option added to show 120 days and retention. There is an issue with Retention. This field always shows the current value rather than the snapshot value. The reason is that the field only contains a checkmark to flag the remaining balance as retention rather than a date which indicates when that was done. Job Rate Reports: Option added to excluded helpers. This is useful when a primary operator is sometimes a helper and gets the lower predetermined helper rate on those jobs. When an operator is both, the helper rates skew the hourly rate, usually to the lower side. Job Rate Reports: A new option has been added to group by Customer Type. Job Rate Detail Report: A new option has been added to filter by just a single customer.

Truck Track Configuration: GPS accuracy settings have been added to File / Table Maintenance / JobLink under the Settings tab. These settings control the required Satellites in View, Possible Error Rate and whether A 3D fix is required. These settings are then transmitted to the JobLink units. Any Truck Track unti running TL055.APP (downloadable through the DSM Utilities) will then evaluate the quality of it's GPS fix before sending it's location. These settings should eliminate some of the bogus data points when a truck has a marginal signal. We suggest you accept the new default settings unless otherwise advised from Peak Software.

JobLink GPS Times: JobLink reported all GPS times in Mountain Standard time and did not compensate for Daylight savings time. A configuration option has been added under File / Configuration / System / GPS to configure your timezone and whether your state participates in Daylight Savings Time. Once set, your system will show the proper time. Note that the time is actually not related to the PC but is obtained from the GPS satellite so the date / times should always be correct.

Truck Track View Route Of Individual Truck: MPH tracking added on the map to show the speed at various GPS points. In addition max speed for the day and total mileage for the day has been added. Customer Credit History Report: A new report has been added which shows customer balance history over time. This includes most of the items from the Credit History button on the customer screen but can be run for a group of customers. It is also sortable by Ave days to pay which make it easy for you to indenfy slow pays. The report is found under Reports / Accounting Reports / Customer Credit History Report.

The result is the description doesn't print on the order. This is not a typical situation as descriptions are rarely shortened to this length but never the less it does occur. This application fixes that problem but requires that effected orders are edited and saved (nothing needs to be changed).

Receipt Of Diamond Blades: When doing this through a PO, you must specify the serial numbers. The manufacturer serial number has been added to that PO receipt screen. This saves you from having go to the blade screen to update the blades with this information. This is helpful if you need to track the Manufacturer Serial #.

Purchase Order Finder: If you are using the new multiple company option and you are set as a default company to no preference, the screen came up and didn't show any PO's until you clicked through the select company box. Resolved Order Line Item Entry: When you change a product code, the system changes the description to match that product code. This behavior has been changed to only change the description if it was the default from before. So now once you customize the description and then need to change your code, you will not lose your custom description. Worker Availablity Report: If you did not put in estimated hours on the job, this report did not show any hours when run in the 4 week outlook. This has been changed such that is DSM doesn't know, it puts down 8 hours for the sake of that report. Resize Is Empty Error: In some network configuration, DSM's auto detect does not work correctly and fails to see a proxy server. In this case when you go to get a map from MapQuest you get a 'Resize Is Empty' error. A new option has been added under Preferences which allows you to set the Internet Config Method to force Proxy detection. This is done on a PC by PC basis as different PC's may access the internet differently.

Caching Issue: In some cases on Microsoft Networks, data would not properly be refreshed. The situation was where you would view an order, then someone else would change it a line item and then you would come back in and would not see the change. GPS Point Sensitivity: You can now configure the sensitivity of GPS circle which will qualify for a hit at your shop, jobsite or a landmark you created. This is setup under File / System / Configuration / GPS. The default is 500 feet but shops with a large yard may require a larger radius. In addition you can now specify the radius of a given landmark for even further fine tuning. Landmark From User Screen: The User / Person screen now has a landmark checkbox that when checks allows you to create a landmark for the employee's home using their address. The Financial History and Order History buttons are not disabled but when you clicked on them, they did not allow you access to those screens. This has been fixed. IMPORTANT CONVENIENCE FEATURE City Abbreviations: A city abbreviations table has been added to store common abbreviations you specify for Job Cities that reference them to thier long name. This is used when trying to obtain a map as mapping engines may not recognize your abbreviations. Timecard Entry: An overlap validation check has been added to ensure that two timecards do not overlap time. Job Costing Report: This report was incorrectly backing out expenses before charging overhead on the invoiced amount. This is supposed to only happen when the item is marked as No Overhead. The Profit & Loss By Jobsite report correctly calculated this amount. The two reports are now in sync.

PO Editing: When a job is linked to a purchase order, the job name is now shown along with the order # and the customer name. A field has also been added for who requested the PO and who is picking it up. Service Records: A new option has been added under System Configuration / Maintenance to Require Next Service Record Interval. If checked every piece of equipment or truck will require that the next interval be specified. On the Truck and Equipment screens, there is an override checkbox which says Truck Does Not Require Service to disable this feature on individual equipment. Active Blade Report: When printed to an Excel file, the total inch feet for the blade shows up and is used by some customers for their own reporting. The problem is that is field a field which is not considered acurate until the blade is retired. During that process the field is properly updated. Until then it may or maynot contain valid numbers (usually not). Reports which display this field get the information from the detail data. To resolve this problem, the report has been modified so that the resultant table shows the correct numbers in this field.

Orders Screen: If you have an itemized order with long descriptions saved it, then edited it at a later time you would lose the long descriptions of the remaining bottom items. If it two lines were removed, the last two lost their descriptions. If you deleted the last two item, nothing was lost. This was a very elusive bug but has been corrected immediately once it was known what was happening. Appologies to all who were effected by this. Orders Screen: If you duplicated a job and choose to also duplicate the operator assignment, the duplicated job assignment did not carry over the truck number. The operator was correctly assigned but the truck number was lost. Resolved.
